DS-Xtreme Trouble shooting

- Plug your DS-Xtreme into a computer
- Does the USB cable 'click in'?
- Do the lights illuminate?
- Make sure it's not in your DS
- Try another USB cable/computer/USB port
- Does your PC detect your DS-X as a removable device?
- Does your computer ask for drivers? -> Open a ticket in the Support tracker
- Does your "Device Manager" show your DS-X as "unknown device" or "DVB-T USB BDA firmware loader"? -> Open a ticket in the Support tracker
- Try a low level format of your DS-X
- Try another USB cable/computer/USB port
- Load the updater tool (DO NOT update it yet)
- Does it show that you have the latest version?
- Upgrade to the latest version -> upgrade instructions here
- Does the updater say "unknown version"?
- Unplug your DS-X and re-run the updater. If it still says "unknown version" then disable all USB hubs
- Try another computer.
- Copy a .nds file to the apps folder in your DS-X
- Did the file copy ok?
- Format your DS-X FAT32 and retry
- Try another USB cable/computer/USB port
- Unplug your DS-X from your computer
- Plug it into your DS and power it up
- Does your DS detect or start your DS-X?
- Try the papertrick
- Try a low level format of your DS-X
- Copy just the latest skin files to your DS-X
- Try filling up your DS-X until it is at least full before formatting it again.
- Does the DS-X light flash once as it starts?
- Does the DS-X menus load?
- Hold down "A" while your DS-X loads to disable "Instant Boot"
- Hold down "B" while your DS-X loads to disable any custom skin
- Does the "apps" menu display the .nds file you copied to the DS-X?
- Go to your DS-X's Settings disable 'Preset Directories' and reboot your DS-X
- Start the "app". Does it run?
- Search Google for DS-X compatibility to see if others are having the same problem
- Wait for fix
- In the Skins menu select the OS1.0 skin, then start the "app" again. (reported to help)
