[edit] v1.1.0
Download the two files below:
Extract and DLDI patch (optional) dsdoom.nds. Move it to your card and move prboom.wad into the root of your card.
Extract doom.wad also into the root of your card.
If you have a retail version of Doom2 then you can also use that instead of the Shareware version above, just rename make sure you name doom2.wad to doom.wad.
[edit] v1.2.1a
- Download dsdoom.zip
- Patch the data/dsdoom/dsdoom.nds with your DLDI patcher.
- Copy the "data" folder in your root directory.
- Wad installation:
Put the designated wads in they're proper folders
Installing custom wads. If you want to play custom dsdoom wads you'll need to edit wadsel.ini
[FreeDoom] savpath = FreeDoom/ wad = FreeDoom/freedoom063.wad [Ultimate Doom] savpath = doom1/ wad = doom1/doom.wad [Doom 2] savpath = doom2/ wad = doom2/doom2.wad [TNT] savpath = tnt/ wad = tnt/tnt.wad [Plutonia] savpath = plutonia/ wad = plutonia/plutonia.wad
For a custom pwad to work you have to do the following, I'll use KDiP.wad as an example.
[Knee Deep in Phobos] savpath = KDiP/ wad = KDiP/doom2.wad wad = KDiP/kdip.wad

If you need more than 8 saves back delete or back up unneeded ones off your card
[edit] Additional Information
- When you run DS Doom for the first time files called 'prboom.cfg' and 'tranmap.dat' are created in the root of your card.
'prboom.cfg' is the main configuration file and can be edited with a text editor like Windows Notepad. Useful entries include:
server "192.168.0.1:5030" //the IP of the server that you will connect to if you select network game during start up gen_screen_swap (0/1) // setting this to 1 swaps both DS screens gen_console_enable (0/1) // disables automap and shows console window gen_cheat_enable (0/1) // enables Cheats (god, all ammo/keys).
DO NOT remove any of the other entries in 'prboom.cfg' otherwise the game will not start.
- Game saves are stored in the root of your card with names similar to: 'prbmsav0.dsg'
