Firmware Known Issues

This unofficial list has been created by users of the DS-X and is just for information purposes only. Having an item listed does not mean that: a) the DS-X team are aware of the problem or b) the issue will be addresses in future firmware updates.

  • Two white pixels when you launch some .nds files
  • The DS-Xtreme appears as "DS-Xtrem e[][]" when plugged into your computer
  • Eeprom saves slower than v1.1.0
  • Save files (.sav) created for all .nds files
  • DS-X not detected in DS or selecting DS-X in DS main menu causes DS to freeze
  • Computer may reboot during update
  • Some apps have slowdowns or frame now
  • Freezing in game for some apps
  • When the PC is booted connected to the DSX (VID=0x04b4 PID=0x8613) instead of (VID=0x04b4 PID0x4624) the PC then asks for drivers.
  • You cant leave the USB lead connect to the PC when running DS software.
  • The updater cannot be closed after an I/O error, use Windows task manager to end the process
  • Reports of saving/reading of EEPROM 4kbits not working
  • DS Wi-fi LED constantly blinks
