[edit] No Device found
[edit] Error 404 Not Found
This is caused by trying to run an older version of the update tool.
[edit] The Semaphore Timeout Period has Expired
Normally caused by trying to use USB 1.1 or having other USB devices still plugged into your computer.

[edit] Unknown Firmware Version
[edit] I/O device error
Normally cased by the updater not being able to write to the DS-X (some computer manufactures use non standard 'replies' for their USB ports). To resolve, try some of all of these:
- Run the updater using the USB ports on the back of your computer
- Ensure you are using USB 2.0 ports (how to tell)
- Disable any USB hubs the computer has
- Run the updater on another computer
- Replace the USB cable with another one
