[edit] Download and Install Instructions

  • Download ReadMoreAlpha.zip
  • ReadMore.nds can be extracted to anywhere on most flashcards
  • Create a \DATA\states folder in the root of the SD card, this allows auto-bookmarking when exiting the application
  • Create a \DATA\fonts folder and put all the .bfont files here
  • TXT files must be located in the root of the SD card and filenames must be 5 characters or less (if you want to use auto-bookmarking). The 5 character limit does not include the extension (e.g. abcde.txt is allowed)
  • For flashcards without DLDI patching make sure you DLDI patch ReadMore.nds
  • Run Readmore as any normal DS app

USER GUIDANCE: I've been using this for a few days now, and have discovered the following by trying things out: When creating your folders, if you make one called BOOKS then within this folder create the above data\fonts folder, then it will save the bookmarks correctly, it doesn't appear to create bookmarks without this being done. You also have to place any .txt files be they books or whatever into the BOOKS folder as well, (you can just leave them in the ROOT folder, but then you'll end up with loads of files, this is tidier). To get the program to open to the LAST document you were reading, in the ROOT folder, create a folder called data\states. (It is IMPOSSIBLE to have two folders both called data in the ROOT folder so not sure how you're supposed to do as the above suggests,) and if any other files are placed in the data\states folder then it will not reopen your document when you return to the program.
